American Artist b. 1942
Frederick Harry Kahler was born in Washington, D.C. on July 26, 1942. Fred employs the timeless methodology of traditional pen and ink, without the use of magnification to illustrate the many layers of his extremely intricate drawings. Each creation is revealed over a course of time that takes months and sometimes years to complete. What evolves is ART infused with philosophy and mythology.
Recognized as a Self~Taught Artist, Kahler's drawings are in significant private collections around the globe, as well as in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
